We played The Merchant’s Inn in Rugby on Tuesday 4 February. It was a great night with lots of people making the effort to come and watch us which was much appreciated, especially on a school night.

The Boat monthly music nights have got a thoroughly deserved reputation for really excellent local acts and enthusiastic audiences who instinctively know when to participate and when to listen quietly. Dinesh and Irenie did an acoustic set there on Monday playing a mix of solo original tunes and covers including Bon Iver’s ‘Skinny Love’ (not strictly 60s or 70s, but we both love that song and it could have been from that era!) and Carole King’s ‘I feel the earth move’.
We had lots of nice comments afterwards and thoroughly enjoyed the experience and the other acts. Thanks to Matt and Becky from Nurse Roberts and the Medicine Man for inviting us to play. We’ll be very happy to play again later in the year.
We had a a great time on New Year’s Eve at Stoneleigh. Acoustic sets from Des, Irenie and Dinesh kicked off the evening with things gradually building with Small World and then Laurel Canyon to finish off the evening. We played until about 1 AM after running out of songs! Contine reading
Our debut gig at the Town and County club in Rugby raised £98.21 for Cancer Research. Huge thanks goes to everyone that came and the amazing acts that played including The Record Covers, Behind the Settee, Eve Singleton and Interstellar Alligator. Fantastic night had by all! Contine reading
